We use the stubs to input payment information, and this is the best way to ensure that your account is properly credited with your payment.  While we certainly do not mind looking your bill up, since there are frequently several accounts with the same last name, there is always the chance that we get the wrong account.  Add the possibility of transferring numbers when we fill out the stub, and you can see the potential for problems.  While we do our best to properly credit payments, mistakes do occur.  When they do, every step is taken to correct a misapplied payment, but sometimes it is not until the next billing cycle that the mistake is noticed.  Providing your billing stub will save you time and money.
