10/14/25 Weekly Post
October 14, 2025
ACCOUNT BALANCE: Payments are due by the 15th of the month. Customers have a “Grace Period” until cut-offs on Monday (20 October) of the month. Payment after the office opens at 7:30 a.m. on Monday (20 October) will not prevent service interruptions and late fees.
NOTE: Depending on the financial institution, electronic payments made on Friday, (17 October), Saturday (18 October), and Sunday (19 October) may not be processed before the office opens on Monday (20 October). All payments made using the Utility District’s deposit box are processed before the office opens on Monday (20 October).
FATS, OIL, and GREASE (FOG): FOG is a by-product of cooking. When hot, liquid FOG poured into the wastewater drainage system mixes with food and other waste. When cooled, FOG hardens in the wastewater drainage systems pipes. At the treatment plants, it forms deposits on the surface of the settling tanks and can block screens and clog pumps.
FOG is becoming a serious issue at the North Haven and Lakewood treatment plants and lagoons. Please DO NOT put fats, oils, and grease (FOG) into the wastewater system.
